Master a beautiful flower arrangement at home with expert tips from New York florists, Putnam & Putnam Flowers.
First, you'll select a vessel with a wide mouth. Create a small ball of chicken wire as a base, and tape it inside the vessel. This will hold your flowers in place. Start building your arrangement with a hearty greenery like blueberry or a grass. Leave negative space as you build your arrangement to create an interesting shape. Add filler flowers like roses, and cut them at different lengths. Keep building with a large centerpiece flower with a big bloom- just one or two- and add texture flowers like ranunculus around that. Add, subtract, and reorganize until your arrangement is dazzling from all angles. Use a Lazy Susan as you work for ease of movement!
