Skillshare in SF!

SF is occasionally called “The City That Knows How,” which is no surprise, given its entrepreneurial history (the Gold Rush, duh). Skillshare’s mission is to unlock the learning potential of cities across the country (and, eventually, the world!), and we can’t think of a better place to go next than San Franciso. It’s disruption-friendly already, with all those earthquakes… And, the fact that Tupac hails (yes, we have good reason to believe he’s still alive) from the SF area is just added encouragement.

Here’s a lil’ teaser of the knowledge you can amass post-launch in San Francisco: Become a Tea Master, go to Farmers Market Boot Camp, and Build a Product-Focused Startup Culture.

So what now?

1. Sign up to be notified. Visit the San Francisco Skillshare page and sign up to be notified when we officially launch! While you’re at it, get inspired by the Skillshare manifesto.

2. Launch Party. Come celebrate and help spread the word on August 15th! RSVP here.

3. Teach Anything. Quickly test out your ideas by creating pilot classes here. All you need is a title and description - then see how many people put your class on their watchlists. Add a date to your listing when you can’t stand the cheers outside your proverbial window anymore.

4. Recommend Someone. If you know anyone who’s a totally passionate amateur and can teach a class on anything from knitting to raising money for a startup, please let us know and we’ll do our best to get them onto the website.

Watch out…your city might be next!

(Shout outs to our Special Ops team - Laura Muhlhammer and Katie Johnson - for making this happen!)
