As a teacher on Skillshare, you have the opportunity to earn monthly revenue through our Partner Program. Skillshare Partners regularly bring new, engaging content to our community of learners. We put together these FAQs to help you understand how it all works.
What are the criteria?
To be entered into the Skillshare Partner Program, you’ll need to enroll at least 300 students on the platform, across any number of classes. Check out these easy tips on marketing your classes.
How do I join?
Once you’ve hit the criteria, we will automatically enter you into the Partner Program, and you'll begin earning revenue based on the success of your classes.
How do I get paid?
Once you’ve become a Partner, you’ll receive payment on the 16th of each month based on the success of your classes throughout the previous month. Your payment will come through your Paypal account, which you should set up through your Skillshare account settings as soon as you publish your first class.
How much will I make?
Skillshare revenue comes from two sources - Premium Memberships and limited advertising on our platform. Each month, we distribute at least 30% of this revenue to our Partners. The algorithm used to determine each Partner’s monthly share is based on class popularity and student success. This includes the total number of new students enrolled, new projects created, and video views completed each month across all their classes.
What is the teacher referral link?
For each class you publish, you'll receive a unique teacher referral link. Share this link through social media to market your class and drive enrollments. For every student who signs up for a Premium Membership through your link and makes a first payment, we’ll add $10 to your next payment. You can find your referral link on the left toolbar when viewing your class through the Edit mode.
